A Note from The Festival Director
I didn't think we'd top the success of 2008's Pride--especially during a recession year--but Seattle PrideFest 2009 had more attendees, more vendors, and more sponsors than ever before. We'd like to say one last time...HAPPY PRIDE! The weather was perfect, Abigail, Shoshana Bean, QBoy, THEE Satisfaction, and Sylvia O'Stayformore were all so so entertaining, our DJs kept you all dancing in the fountain, and Redhook and SmartWater and VitaminWater10 kept you all hydrated throughout the day! A special thanks to all of our sponsors (see below) for their support of the Festival, without which it just wouldn't happen at the scale it does. We'd also like to thank our heroes and beneficiaries for doing so much for our community and making it a better place for all of us. Over 50,000 showed up for the party yesterday, making it the largest single LGBT gathering in the Northwest. We'll see you again next year, same time, same place, with an even bigger festival on July 27, 2010--Mark your calendars! Thanks again, Seattle!
